Job Description
Morgan McKinley are currently recruiting a Production Planner to join a multinational manufacturing company. This is a permanent role based onsite in Dublin.
Joining a well-established supply chain team, this Production Planner be responsible for implementing supply strategies to ensure timely and continuous supply of quality products to a global customer base while delivering annual, quarterly and monthly production plans to the manufacturing site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Create and monitor production schedules for the facility to meet market requirements and production targets.
2. Maintain inventory requirements for raw materials to agreed targets and regularly report on any exposures for obsolescence.
3. Manage the Supply Forecast for the site and convert quarterly/monthly demand forecast into feasible master production plans.
4. Ensure vendor lead times are accurate and in line with the Master schedule.
5. Provide forecasts and manage the disposal of co-products working with the global sales partners
6. Monitor actual production against production schedules
7. Procure raw materials and packaging to meet agreed schedules
8. Monitor and report on KPI related to forecast accuracy, performance to plan, inventory targets, etc
Key requirements:
9. 4+ years' experience similar role within a manufacturing environment
10. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related discipline
11. Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical devices industry
12. Knowledge of supplier fulfilment capabilities to meet customer and internal requirements
13. Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system required
