Supply Chain Network Planner
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Production Planner is responsible for all activities related to
1. Production Planning
2. Demand / Capacity Management
3. Plan Governance
4. System Parametrization and MD review
5. Inventory Control
The role collaborates with Production Scheduling Team, Production Planning Team and other stakeholders to ensure a feasible and balanced supply plan in accordance with agreed service levels, safety stock, appropriate raw material and supply plans, capacity plans and identified constraints. The Production Planner is accountable to deliver against a range of metrics. The role is responsible to perform in compliance with the global model and suggest improvements whilst working with the team lead and the global process owner through the IMEx framework.
Production Planning
6. Review alerts (exceeding threshold); Identify proposed changes; Prioritize orders, working with the scheduling team;
7. Attend the Material Supply Tier 1 meeting; Share urgent issues and ensures escalation into Tier 2 boards;
8. Actively participate in the Cross Site calls: flag demand signal issues; Identify network material supply issues and proposed plan changes; ensure alignment of the demand and supply signal
9. Handover orders to the scheduling team ensuring network material availability
10. Conduct weekly 'handshake' meeting with Production Schedulers to discuss priorities and to monitor / control schedule break-ins
Demand/Capacity management
11. Support a monthly demand changes analysis flagging substantial changes in demand and analyse the results with the planning team lead to evaluate the impacts and address any concerns with stakeholders.
12. Liaise with upstream/downstream supplying sites to interrogate and validate demand changes; Identify root causes; Ensure system requirements up to date
13. Model system demand gaps caused by source change
14. Work with network stakeholders to resolve demand signal issues;
15. Support the scenarios planning analysis.
16. Manage the resource capacity in the system to ensure a feasible plan and a correct demand signal upstream.
17. Collaborate with Production Scheduling Team to resolve asset balancing trade-offs;
Plan Governance
18. Support the allocation plan with BSL guidance and handover to Scheduling (in constrained supply scenarios)
19. Participate in weekly supply governance calls to troubleshoot low stock issues and balance cost vs. supply trade-offs
20. Track root causes and prioritize remediation and prevention actions
Parameters and Metrics
21. Review / update system supply chain Master Data.
22. Monitors the Key Planning Metrics (such as Market coverage, etc..) and take actions to improve them; escalate metrics within Tier structure
Inventory control of (API/DP)
23. Ensures inventory usage of network materials and avoids obsolescence by checking their ageing
24. Track, review and communicate network material I inventory vs. target MoH
25. Monitor network material shelf life; Ensure adherence to RIDS avoidance processes; Coordinate RIDS process with site MRB
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
26. BS/BA in Technical or Business field required (supply chain management, systems or industrial engineering); advanced degree a plus.
27. Experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in Pharmaceutical Industry or equivalent. Proven experience in supply and inventory planning and operational execution
28. Understanding of the logistics and supply chain environment, process development, and ERP/advanced planning systems (e.g., APO, ECC, BI) and best practices is required.
29. Demonstrated analytical, strategic thinking/planning, and problem-solving skills.
30. Understanding of manufacturing and packaging activities
31. Ability to work effectively in an environment of competing priorities with concurrent deadlines.
32. Ability to work in a complex matrix organization with strong teamwork orientation.
33. Ability to interact, build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
34. APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
