Are you our next Entry-Level Software Analyst/Consultant for our R&D Incentives team?
Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model.

Contract type: 12 month FTC with a view to permanency
We are seeking a highly motivated Computer Science/Software Consultant to join our Research and Development ("R&D") incentives team based in Dublin 2.
This role would suit a recent graduate from a Computer science, Software Development or Software Engineering discipline with strong writing and communication skills who can utilise their scientific/technical knowledge to assist companies with the preparation of the scientific/technical aspects of R&D tax credit claims.
You will work closely with many different companies within Ireland's exciting tech landscape, to identify and document eligible R&D activities.
Please note that this job does not involve any programming or software development.
A snapshot of your peer group:
1. Third level degree (minimum degree level) in software engineering, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Software Architecture, Software Development or equivalent. Grade minimum.
2. 1 year experience in research and development projects in the industry or in academic environment would be a bonus.
3. 1 year experience working in a programming environment in the software industry is ideal. In particular, a basic knowledge and experience working throughout the software development lifecycle and basic programming with modern software development tools and/or environments will be a bonus
4. Demonstrable technical report writing skills.
5. Good communication skills, exceptional oral and written communications capabilities.
6. Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with our clients' R&D teams.
7. Willingness to assume responsibility, ownership and accountability.
8. Time management skills as well as the ability to work independently and handle multiple client projects simultaneously.
9. Strong organisational skills.

10. Assisting the R&D team in providing advice to our software clients in relation to the eligibility of activities for the R&D tax credit, including attendance to meetings, liaising with clients' technical leads, and review of internal documents.
11. Researching and resolving queries both general and client specific in relation to the scientific/ technical aspects of the R&D tax credit
12. Gather technical information from our clients' R&D teams and drafting technical reports detailing qualifying R&D projects.
13. Planning, organising, and executing R&D engagements on time and within budget.
14. Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients.
15. Please note that this job does not involve any programming or software development.
Prior experience with the R&D tax credit is NOT necessary. KPMG will provide the successful candidate with specialised training on the R&D tax credit scheme.
