About The Role
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
* Supervise, train, and motivate F&B staff.
* Create staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
* Ensure exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, addressing concerns, and resolving issues promptly.
* Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure guests have a positive dining experience.
* Handle reservations, special requests, and VIP guests.
* Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
* Monitor cleanliness, organisation, and maintenance of the restaurant or bar area.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
* Manage inventory levels and order supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels.
* Conduct regular inventory audits to minimise waste and shrinkage.
* Provide ongoing training to staff on service standards, product knowledge, and upselling techniques.
* Ensure stock rotation occurs and stock is 'held' in the correct manner, recording any wastage
* Attend relevant staff meetings
* Ensure all drinks or food requests are billed correctly.
* To conduct regular inventories of stock, glassware & other supplies and ensure tight control of these items
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and development among the team.
* Identify training needs and coordinate training sessions as necessary.
* Ensure the department's maintenance and cleaning schedule is adhered to, ensuring all work surfaces, shelves, floors, walls, sinks, cupboards etc are cleaned to a high standard.
* Adhere to all regulations in respect of health and safety
* Any other duties as directed by members of the management team
Requirements for the role:
* Proven experience as an F&B Supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including service techniques and menu items.
* Familiarity with inventory management and cost control procedures.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
