The successful candidate will liaise with the five projects which come under the umbrella of CAPRN and work in tandem with the team leaders/co-ordinators of each project to ensure that the needs of the different projects are explored and met. The successful candidate will also work in collaboration with administration groups, the HR, the Finance, the Governance groups and the Board. The coordinator will have four main areas of responsibility:
1. Community Development
2. Funding and Finance
3. Statutory compliance
4. Support the Board and its’ groups
Role and duties of the coordinator:
Community Development:
5. Manage the day to day operations of the network and its’ projects to identify local development needs and opportunities, liaising, partnering and networking with other likeminded community development and education organisations
6. To oversee the implementation and management of CAPRN network Projects, ensuring they are delivered on, within budget and to a high standard
Funding and finance:
7. Coordinate the budgeting, financial reporting with the finance officer
8. Ensure, with the Treasurer, the delivery of all accounting and audit functions in an accurate and timely manner
9. Coordinate all fundraising activities across the Network in conjunction with the Board and with the involvement of the projects sourcing both public grant aid and private sponsorship
10. Coordinate with outside contractors and providers of any external contracts, leasing arrangements and expert provision in conjunction with the Board and the Finance Group
Statutory Compliance:
11. Manage the record keeping of the organisation including data retention, data storage, GDPR compliance across the Network and IT security
12. Manage all necessary statutory compliance including records in areas of contracts, charitable status and financial and accounting reports
13. Ensure all premises are adequately maintained with regard to Health and Safety requirements and liaise with all or any occupiers, owners and providers of premises in that regard
Support for the Board and the Groups:
14. Attend Board meetings providing minute taking and all necessary administrative back up to the Chairperson and Company Secretary
15. Attend as necessary the meetings of each administration, finance, governance and HR group, ensuring secretarial backup is available to the groups
Requirements:
The candidate will be grounded in understanding of the challenges faced by CAPRN in providing relevant and positive change in the Community. The candidate is compassionate, practical and understanding in collaborating with others including representatives of the community and voluntary members on whose work the whole Network is based.
16. 5 years + recent experience in community development, project management, and administration
17. Excellent communication skill, IT skills and experience in Social Media
18. Ability to bring people together, community, volunteers at every level and paid project staff
19. Strong motivational leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
20. Knowledge of project management methodologies and experience in budgeting and financial management would be advantageous.
