Working with the Engineering Manager, this is a central role within Engineering and Projects. The key focus will be to deliver Life Science projects for Emerson's Customers.
The lead Engineer will be part of the main project delivery team leading and guiding a team of engineers to deliver automation projects to our highest standard. This role will support, the overall business growth objectives by applying their skills and experience to support both the sales and proposals teams in the pursuit of new business opportunities. As a member of the Project Management team, your main responsibility will be owning the technical delivery of a portfolio of project related to Delta V products.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Collaborating with the broader team, to ensure delivery of technical support for proposals and Project Delivery. The lead is the focal point for all technical communication with the customer for the assigned Project.
2. Provide leadership to the project team of local and remote engineers, leading projects to a high technical standard and within budget. Acquires, maintains and actively shares knowledge and experience with the technical team and the wider organization.
3. Communication - Ensures that all team members allocated are provided with all relevant information - details of scope, schedule, technical specifications and quality standards – to effectively deliver and that engineering activities are undertaken in accordance with Emerson's quality control
4. Project Management – Supports Project managers in the development of project schedule and provide support for project resource requirements. Identifying and communicating areas of risk.
5. Project Execution – Take ownership of the engineering activities on all allocated work and proactively apply methodologies, resources and techniques for cost efficiency, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality standard.
6. Proposals/Sales support – Actively contributes to any assigned bid activities to ensure that the customer’s requirements are fully understood, and that innovative and efficient solutions are proposed.
7. Team development - Facilitates creation of an inclusive and encouraging environment for all personnel within the team to ensure high performance on the project and actively support team members in achieving any personal development objectives that may have been set for the project.
8. Customer Relations – Support projects, understanding and managing customer’s expectations.

For This Role, You Will Need:
9. Engineering, Process or Chemical degree or equivalent.
10. - years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of managing Process automation projects including system design, implementation and factory/site acceptance test phases of projects (process automation, systems and instrumentation)
11. Ability to work independently and within defined timelines.
12. Extensive experience with direct customer contact and managing expectations
13. Local language skills with proficient English (verbal and written); excellent communicator.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
14. Ability and talent to lead a technical team – with leadership experience
15. Strong Background in delivering and implementation DeltaV Batch Automation, in Life Science.
