Purpose of the position

Hiab is looking for a highly motivated, versatile and customer-oriented person to fill the role of Product Support Engineer, and to join the team of amazing professionals that are part of Hiab’s family. The purpose of the position is to deliver first-class customer service which includes technical support to the markets on all models of Moffet TMFL on a daily basis. You will be right at the heart of the matters as you need to deal directly with customers and you have to apply a proactive approach in order to support other departments within Hiab’s organisation as need arises.
The position is based in our office in Dundalk, or at the customer’s site depending on the situation, and reports directly to the Product Support Manager.
Main tasks and responsibilities
1. Provide technical support for Hiab’s product range with the FL TMFL dealer with customers, or other departments within Hiab, and ensure that the entire customer experience runs smoothly
2. Prepare service training materials and conduct training sessions for Hiab’s product portfolio
3. Keep the Hiab online E-Support system (c-case or similar) up to date and meet the required KPI targets on ticket closures
4. Assist in the development of ASTS materials when required for NPD projects
5. Liaise with suppliers and various stakeholders when their support and services are required
6. Prepare and present monthly reports on the status of Technical Support (KPI targets)
7. Provide technical feedback to the FL on changes in the product range that will affect them.
You will work in close cooperation with:R&D, Engineering, Production Engineering, Production, Sourcing, Quality, External Customers
and Suppliers.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
8. Diploma in Engineering or Higher, or 5 years experience in TMFL products.
Experience:
● Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems, and understanding of
fault finding processes, with a strong mechanical background
● A very strong customer focus
● Good communication and interpersonal skills.
● A strong understanding of both Diesel and Battery powered drive systems.
Competencies:
● Understanding of PDM systems and working within a controlled environment
● Competent user of all Microsoft Office programs excel, word and PowerPoint and
knowledge of their application in daily work
● Must be able to fault-find and solve problems that arise within the day to day TMFL business, capable of working alone or at times part of a team.
Ability to perform Service Training sessions either here in Dundalk or abroad. Must be willing to travel for work when needed.
