Responsibilites
The successful candidate will be employed as a Strategic Buyer within the Purchasing Department and will report directly to the Procurement Manager or his/her delegate.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Coordination of all activities related to the procurement of components and services.
2. Responsibility to develop and implement commodity & supplier strategies in accordance with global purchasing strategy guidelines.
3. Ensure availability of a commodity based on production schedule, ERP - System driven task lists, technical specification, quality requirements and lead-time.
4. Deploy commodity and sourcing expertise to ensure best possible supplier identification, qualification and developement.
5. Create rquests for quotation (RFQ) and analyse/compare supplier offers.
6. Maintain related item data withing the MRP system for new released items, process design modifications.
7. Responsibility to negotiate supplier agreements, price and conditions of supply.
8. Liaise with suppliers to optimise supplier relationship and performance of supply.
9. Perform procurement market analysis to ensure best-cost sourcing.
10. Initiate and conduct continuously cost reduction projects for assigned commodities.
11. Utilise Liebherr Lead Buyer approach and use purchasing tools within Liebherr Sharepoint to analyse costs and maintain data related to results of cost improvement/adjustment.
12. Analyse and optimise supplier portfolio on a continious basis, drive innovations and minimise procurement risks.
13. Escalate claims and quality issues in cooperation with the Quality Department using Liebherr Sharepoint tool.
14. Other anacillary duties associated with the position.
Qualifications, Requirements & Experience
15. Third level education degree in a relevant discipline or comparable working experience.
16. Minimum of 3 years' experience in strategic purchasing is essential.
17. Industrial background mechanical/electrical would be beneficial.
18. Supplier management/development and supplier audit.
19. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
20. Strong awareness for costs and quality.
21. Sensibility, drive and persistence to successfully manage a team.
22. Strong target oriented, problem solver, self-driven.
