We are currently recruiting for a Community Rehabilitation Assistant for our North Dublin Community. This is a Permanent, Full-Time, 39 hours contract. Starting salary: €29,417 - DOE Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential rehabilitation services to people with a brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to serve, advocate, empower and support people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives. The role of the Community Rehabilitation Assistant is to support and assist people with an acquired brain injury on every aspect of activities of daily living to live valued lives of optimal independence and participation in activites within the community. With a person-centred approach, our Community Rehabilitation Assistants assist each individual to plan and direct their lives, meet the needs identified in their individual plan and support outcomes that are meaningful to the person in conjunction with their overall needs, integrating more fully into the community and achieving their potential. Our Community Rehabilitation Assistants are highly trained specialists and a crucial part of our team. They work with brain injury survivors on a day-to-day basis, providing the guidance and support they need to achieve their own goals. They are expert communicators with hands-on experience of the impacts of brain injury for the person and their families. Role Responsibilities: Form a rapport with persons served and maintain a positive constructive, and professional relationship Undertake the role of Keyworker as required Provide support to achieve the goals set out in Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs) Improve quality of life by developing, encouraging, and supporting the activities of daily living, including personal care Encourage family, personal and neighbourhood relationships and interactions Develop strategies to maximise the ability of the person, build coping mechanisms for daily living and promote independence Working with persons served to ensure they need as little support as possible in the future for more detail and a more comprehensive list of responsibilities, please see link below to job description Essential Criteria: A relevant Health or Social Care qualification to a minimu of QQI level 5 standard Full driving licence with access to a vehicle A person centred approach to supporting people with an acquired brain injury Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
