The Role
The Proofpoint Tax Department is responsible for the assessment and review of the Company’s transactions as it relates to all forms of tax compliance as well as accounting for income taxes under US GAAP.
We are looking for an experienced Tax Senior to assist the Sr. Director, Tax in managing the Company’s multiple international jurisdictions.
Your day-to-day
1. Assist with the completion of quarterly and year-end global income tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data for international tax provision calculations.
3. Provide support in reviewing international tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
4. Coordinate with local tax advisors to manage compliance requirements in various international jurisdictions.
5. Provide support in overseeing global VAT tax compliance with internal tax team and external tax advisors.
6. Managed VAT filings done in-house.
7. Assist with completion of other tax related filings such as international annual reports.
8. Provide support in overseeing annual transfer pricing process, maintain intercompany agreements, and assist with foreign cash management.
9. Provide support in tax audits and inquiries from international tax authorities.
10. Assist with special projects and initiatives (e.g. foreign R&D Studies, Transfer Pricing Studies, refund opportunities, census, and due diligence on potential acquisitions) as assigned.
11. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
12. Monitor changes in international tax laws and assess their impact on the company.
What you bring to the team
13. CPA license is preferred.
14. Experience in either public accounting or a corporate tax department.
15. Experience working on corporate multinational companies.
16. Detailed understanding of corporate income tax compliance and accounting
17. Strong Excel skills
18. Must be meticulous, detail oriented and organised.
19. Ability to work independently and with across functional teams.
20. Self-motivated
21. Have the ability to be flexible while working with time constraints and deadlines.
22. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
23. Simultaneously manage multiple projects
