Final Test Technician - North Dublin.
This position is being offered as a 23 month fixed-term contract.
Core Responsibilities:
• Setting up and testing systems and sub-assemblies, as allocated by the Supervisor, against test specifications until satisfied they meet all the criteria of the specifications.
• Performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications and methodologies.
• Preparing samples, reagents and diluents for chemical testing of systems and modules.
• Using theoretical knowledge and practical experience, establishing causes of malfunction and non-conformance in the electrical, hydraulic and chemical operation of systems and modules with a minimum loss of test time.
• Checking each system against each branch order to ensure the customer gets the correct systems, i.e. correct type and sequence and also the correct peripherals if required.
• Assisting Engineering in the initial installation and verification of new test procedures, equipment and products.
• Assisting Engineering in the design of test fixtures and modules inspection/test procedures, also preliminary system test/inspection procedures.
• Completing and maintaining all necessary paperwork, test data etc. for each system/module to ensure that accurate Q.C. records are available.
• Overseeing and checking any repair work that has to be carried out to ensure that the fault is corrected and that it conforms to specifications
• Working with Q.C procedures, relating to material flow, material handling, processing of defective material, acceptance and rejection procedures, ECN monitoring, concessions etc.
• Awareness of the risks involved i.e. in handling dangerous corrosive or infectious materials and ensuring that all safety rules and procedures are observed
• Training in new personnel or existing Technicians on unfamiliar systems or modules.
Qualifications and Experience requirements:
• Third level qualification i.e. Engineering Degree/Diploma/QQI Level 6 Certificate in Engineering
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment
• An ability to train new personnel or existing technicians on unfamiliar systems or modules
• Excellent PC skills e.g. Word, Excel, Microsoft Windows, SAP etc
