Role Description
As a QA Testing Specialist at JRI America, you'll be supporting multiple projects by collaborating with others to understand business requirements, developing test plans, creating and implementing integrated E2E tests, and ensuring that the Tests across our integrated applications are high-quality and functioning correctly.
You will also contribute to QA strategy planning, development, and implementation to enhance our existing processes and incorporate improvements.
Role Objectives
1. Design and develop test solutions in a cross-functional, agile environment
2. Be our subject matter expert for testing enterprise software and other cloud SaaS platforms.
3. Identify, evaluate, and manage the documentation and deliverables required for each project testing
4. Work with product partners and developers to identify areas for improved efficiencies.
5. Lead junior QA engineers and manual testers.
6. An understanding of CI/CD pipeline and work toward our goal to “shift-left” in SDLC
7. Develop a training pathway to facilitate the transition of manual testers to an automation role.
8. Contribute to the larger QA team e.g. investigate and report on new technologies, identify and propose Automation Process improvements.
9. Identify and suggest process improvements to create efficiencies and increase delivery speed in our automation.
10. Participate in the training and upskilling of new and more junior colleagues.
11. Identify opportunities for increased cross-team collaboration to improve overall processes.
Qualifications and Skills
12. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
13. Expertise in black box and white box testing
14. A good understanding of HTML, CSS, and other markup languages.
15. Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in the use of Test management tools – XRray, JIRA, additional experience in use of Confluence would be advantageous.
16. Identify, evaluate, and manage the documentation of deliverables required for each project.
17. High attention to detail and process oriented
18. Possess a 'Shift-Left' QA mentality where Quality is shared and owned at all SDLC stages
19. Comfortable working with globally distributed teams.
20. Experience in payments related testing would be a distinct advantage.
21. Proven ability to implement new processes and practices.
22. Proven ability to lead and work as part of a wider team.
