Automation Project Lead - Medical Device Industry
Our client, a leading multinational medical device company based in Ireland, is actively seeking a highly skilled Automation Project Lead to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting 12-month hourly rate contract opportunity for an experienced automation engineer with a strong background in project leadership and a proven track record of delivering successful, compliant projects within the medical device industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Develop Automation Systems: Oversee the creation and implementation of automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with medical device industry standards.
Project Management: Lead and manage multiple automation projects from conception to completion, utilising best-in-class project management methodologies to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all automation systems and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA, ISO, and other industry-specific standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, validation protocols, and compliance reports.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
People Management: Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Relevant Degree/Diploma Qualification: Bachelor's degree or diploma in automation engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in automation within a regulated environment, such as the medical device industry.
Project and People Management: Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects and teams from start to finish, ensuring they meet regulatory compliance and are delivered on time and within budget.
