The successful candidate will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable CMMS system and plan & deliver maintenance projects across the site in Cavan. It's an exciting time to join this company which has over €50 billion sales worldwide in and is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by. The plant in Cavan is currently being upgraded to a world class manufacturing facility. The Equipment Engineer will be required to be on call as per the on-call procedure during an agreed time slot.

Role
1. Scope the full extent of all maintenance works required to conduct the relevant repair/preventive / predictive / design-out activities on the organisations plant and equipment.
2. Maximizing equipment reliability through using planned maintenance most effectively.
3. Quickly returning equipment to design capability through using planned maintenance most effectively.
4. Maximizing equipment availability through most effectively using planned maintenance.
5. Develop cost and time-based estimates of planned maintenance work, including overtime, contractor, and component costs
6. Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality whilst incorporating a clear EHS mode into work practise
7. Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant, and equipment.
8. Able and competent in root cause failure analysis leadership and investigations.
9. Schedule maintenance work into the plant production plans.
10. Schedule planned maintenance shutdowns on a weekly/annual basis.
11. Ensure KPI’s are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning and scheduling business flow process.
12. Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes.
13. Participates in WCM processes and projects & own the Reliability pillar board.
14. Ensure all team compliance training is up to date.
15. Ensure adherence to all EHS activities.
Requirements
16. Qualification in an Engineering Discipline to degree level
17. Min 3 years engineering experience in a high-volume heavy manufacturing engineering environment
18. Strong ICT skills (particularly Microsoft Office),
19. Knowledge of CMMS.(PEMAC)
20. Trade qualification (Fitter)
21. Experience of managing a diverse portfolio of operational responsibilities.
22. Proven track record of successful Project Management.
23. Excellent data analysis skills, enthusiastic and hands-on attitude.
24. Ability to write detailed repair reports and good verbal communication
25. Strong presentation skills, coupled with ability to lead a large group of people
