Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a globally recognised medical device company in Cork.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase yield and reduce waste. The Manufacturing Process Engineer will work closely with production teams to ensure that products are manufactured efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement manufacturing processes to increase yield and reduce waste.
2. Identify and analyse process problems, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
3. Work with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Engineering, and R&D, to ensure the smooth introduction of new products.
5. Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.
6. Train production teams on new processes and equipment.
7. Monitor and analyse process data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
8. Participate in continuous improvement projects, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications:
9. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
10. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
11. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
12. Experience in process design and improvement, yield improvement, waste reduction, and process optimisation.
13. Experience with statistical analysis and data-driven decision making.
14. Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485).
15. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
16. Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
