We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Chartered Engineer who is looking to progress their career within Forensic Engineering. You will have the opportunity to work with an engineering company based in Ireland with a reputation for excellence. You will have the autonomy to carry out inspections at accident locations, including but not limited to roads, factories, buildings, and machinery. Responsibilities:
1. Carry out inspections at accident locations (road, factory, building, machine, .
2. Photograph the relevant areas and equipment/vehicles.
3. Record dimensions and carry out testing as required (., slip assessments, force calculations, light assessments, .
4. Research regulations, standards, and guidelines.
5. Create a technical report.
6. Advise clients on liability.
7. Deliver evidence and face cross-examination as an expert witness in court cases.
Experience Required:
8. Hold an NFQ Level 8, 9, or 10 qualification (Degree OR Master’s, OR Doctorate) in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Fire).
9. Qualified Chartered Engineer is highly desirable.
10. At least 5-10 years of experience in some of the following disciplines:
11. Providing expert witness testimony in court
12. Road construction and repair
13. Road traffic accident collision analysis
14. Road safety audits
15. Building Construction
16. Structural engineering
17. Mechanical engineering
18. Electrical engineering
19. Forensic fire investigations
20. Industrial machinery
21. Health and Safety
22. Manual handling/ergonomics
23. Hold a full driving licence and own transport.
