Our client is a very successful main building contractor with an excellent track record of working on large scale projects across Ireland. They are now seeking to recruit a Site Manager & Site Engineer and Project Manager for a large construction project in Limerick which will take up to a couple of years to complete. You must have previous experience with a main contractor in Ireland and have previous experience of supervising projects to tight deadlines and to very high standards, including health & safety. Previous experience of healthcare type projects would be beneficial. Site Manager
1. Candidates with either an engineering or trade background will be considered.
2. You will need to have experience in coordination of subcontractors, control programme with preparation of look-ahead programmes to facilitate the successful completion of the works on time.
3. You must be experienced and fully computer-literate and have proven experience in preparation of progress reports, chairing site meetings.
4. Ability to communicate with clients, architects, engineers, is essential.
5. Site set up planning and security, logistics management, deliveries and traffic management.
6. You will work alongside the Project Manager to adhere to the construction programme including the effective sequencing of the finishing trades to maximise quality and minimise reworking, while monitoring resources, labour, plant, site set-up and other overheads.
Be fully familiar with current Health and Safety Construction regulations.
7. Liaise with the design team on construction issues
8. Raise RFIs with the design team
9. Issue requisitions for materials
10. Maintain the site diary / daily log activities
11. Monitor and control quality / work standards on site
Requirements:
12. Candidates should have 7+ years’ site management experience, in any combination of healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, or large fit-out projects.
