Job Description
I am currently seeking a quality technician to join a food company based in Tipperary on a permanent basis as their team grow.
This person will support the implementation of 3rd party and customer standards ensuring all requirements are met. You will support audits and compliance projects.
The successful candidate will have a 3rd level degree in science or quality paired with 2 years' experience in the food industry or a similar environment. Proven knowledge in food manufacturing essential. Strong BRC knowledge and safety standards also advantageous.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides to the site knowledge and experience in Quality Systems.
2. Understands and applies regulatory and compliance requirements.
3. Ensuring Standards are implemented in accordance with individual customer requirements and all legal and regulatory requirements.
4. Coordinating and implementing the entire standard into the processing plant ensuring audit ready at all times.
5. Strong presence in the manufacturing area ensuring all processes are compliant with good manufacturing practice.
6. Coaches and guides colleagues within the site with regard to GMP.
7. Preparing for and assisting with customer audits, customer visits, and visits from regulatory bodies ensuring timely responses to any Non-conformances and corrective actions are implemented
8. Raw material checks in compliance with specification at point of intake ensuring any non-conformances are fed back to the suppliers.
9. Management of the approved supplier list, ensuring that all certifications, specifications, SAQ's are maintained up to date
10. Partake in the coordination of the internal audit plan including traceability and fabrication/hygiene audits and carrying out systems audits as required.
11. Document control and updating procedures, records, and manuals, reviewing and filing paperwork from the production floor ensuring correct completion of all process control paperwork
12. Performing quality checks on products during production ensuring product is always produced to customer specification.
