PE Global Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Construction Director to join our client, a leading Tier 1 Construction Company based in Ireland. The successful candidate will be leading a newly created Data Centre delivery division while servicing a pipeline of already awarded DC projects in Ireland that will be kicking off in 2025. This is a permanent position and the role will be offering an excellent salary and benefits package. Role Overview: As Director of Data Centre Construction, you will lead the operational and strategic delivery of large-scale data centre projects in Ireland. Your leadership will shape our clients approach to this critical sector, with a strong focus on ensuring quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. This position requires a proven track record in the construction and management of data centre projects, be client facing, along with the capability to manage teams, budgets, and stakeholder relationships effectively. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Project Management Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of data centre construction projects, ensuring delivery meets or exceeds industry standards. Drive project performance with respect to quality, timelines, budget management, and client satisfaction. Cultivate a collaborative and efficient team culture, setting clear objectives and performance standards for all project teams. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary liaison for clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project alignment. Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating expertise and commitment to project success. Operational Oversight Develop and implement construction processes and standards for data centre projects, ensuring best practices and compliance with all relevant regulations. Lead initiatives to optimize project delivery, mitigate risks, and maintain a high level of safety across all project sites. Strategic Development Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the data centre construction division in Ireland. Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and business development within the data centre construction space. Key Qualifications: Proven experience (10+ years) in construction project management, with at least 7 years in data centre construction or related projects. Strong technical background with a deep understanding of data centre requirements, including MEP systems, infrastructure, and security considerations. Track record of successful project delivery in a leadership capacity, particularly in high-value, mission-critical projects. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Masters preferred).
