A snapshot of your peer group:
1. Qualified solicitor or barrister, admitted to practice law in Ireland, with a minimum of 4 years PQE in Financial Services Regulatory experience.
2. In-depth knowledge of Irish and EU financial services laws, regulations, and Central Bank requirements.
3. Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation such as Central Bank Codes of Conduct and legislation, PSD2, EMD, MiFID II, AIFMD, CRD IV, Solvency II, and IDD.
4. Excellent communication and research skills.
5. A team player who can work with different teams and lawyers across the firm.
6. Proven experience advising clients on regulatory compliance matters and ensuring adherence to financial services laws
7. Awareness of the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, investment, and fintech sectors.
Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:
8. Provide practical, commercial, and strategic advice to domestic and international financial institutions on Irish and EU financial services law and Central Bank requirements.
9. Expertise in regulatory enforcement is desirable (including by the Central Bank of Ireland, Financial Conduct Authority, Data Protection Commissioner or the CCPC).
10. Experience in conducting or responding to Central Bank of Ireland / Financial Conduct Authority investigations is an advantage
11. Represent significant international banking and insurance operations, e-money institutions, payment institutions, investment firms, asset managers, fund service providers, insurance intermediaries, and lenders.
12. Advise financial services clients on all aspects of Central Bank and EU regulation.
13. Handle Central Bank licensing applications, scope of regulation matters, on-going regulatory issues, and Central Bank enforcement actions.
14. Offer expert guidance on compliance and obligations under financial services laws and regulations.
15. Work with a wide variety of clients, offering comprehensive and insightful legal counsel.
16. Collaborate with a skilled and experienced financial services team to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
17. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in financial services law and regulations to provide accurate and relevant advice.
18. Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality solutions to clients' complex regulatory challenges.
19. Contribute to the growth and success of the financial services practice within the firm.
