Responsibilities
1. Assist in managing the commercial aspects of the project, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of project cost reports.
2. Consistently review and update risk registers, variation tracker sheets, and extension of time tracker sheets, including these in monthly reports.
3. Attend monthly management meetings to present and discuss project performance.
4. Liaise with subcontractors, evaluating records and revising templates such as appointment records and payment certifications.
5. Examine accounts and requisitions from suppliers to ensure accuracy.
6. Measure, price, negotiate, and agree on costs for changes to the project scope, ensuring budgets and expenses are in line with project goals.
7. Maintain strong commercial relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, handling contractual obligations effectively.
8. Provide mentorship to junior surveyors, assisting in their development and growth.
9. Actively identify opportunities to increase income, reduce costs, and mitigate project losses.
Qualifications/Experience
10. Degree qualified with at least 2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the residential or retail/commercial sectors in Ireland or the UK.
11. Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office and databases.
12. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate with all project stakeholders.
13. Full eligibility to work in Ireland and a valid driving license are required.
