Key Responsibilities: Prepare comprehensive and detailed tenders for upcoming projects. Review work processes regularly to identify and implement cost-saving strategies. Accurately calculate material, equipment, and labor needs for each project. Evaluate sub-contractor bids, verifying included and excluded items. Negotiate pricing with both suppliers and subcontractors. Raise tender-related queries and compile tender evaluation reports. Gather and organize relevant pre-construction data. Develop and manage a procurement schedule for each project. Produce detailed cost estimates and ongoing cost reports. Ensure smooth handover of project information to the delivery team. Candidate Requirements: Degree or trade certification in a relevant field. At least 1-2 years of experience in estimating, preferably with a main building services contractor. Experience in tendering, particularly in HVAC or similar industries, is a strong advantage. Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Proven experience in project costing, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Comfortable working within deadlines and budget constraints. Strong understanding of building regulations and legal frameworks is desirable. Analytical with strong attention to detail. Skilled in negotiation and able to build positive working relationships. Eager to learn, adaptable, and open to taking on new challenges. Primarily office-based but must be willing to travel to various sites to assess potential work opportunities.
