Responsibilities
as Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
As an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor & Commercial Manager and responsible for commercial aspects of the project.
Consistently examine and update risk registers, variation tracker sheets, and extension of time tracker sheets, and include them in monthly reports.
1. Project cost reports are prepared and reviewed.
2. Attend Monthly Management meetings.
3. Liaising with Sub-Contractors
4. Evaluation of subcontractor records and template revisions, such as appointment records and payment certifications.
5. Examination of accounts and requisitions from suppliers.
6. Budgets and expenses for changes to the project scope should be measured, priced, negotiated, and agreed upon.
7. Verify the accuracy of the project expenses and, if required, raise and address any concerns.
8. Relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors are managed in terms of their commercial and contractual aspects.
9. Keep the management team aware of project performance, execute the cost and value reconciliation to date/forecast.
10. Help in the mentoring and advancement of junior surveyors.
11. Look for opportunity to increase income, save costs, and pinpoint and examine losses.
Qualifications/Experience:
12. Degree qualified and at least 2 years of experience in quantity surveying in the UK or Ireland (ideally Residential, Retail/Commercial).
13. IT Skills – MS Office packages and database experience.
14. Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others.
15. Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
16. Full Driving license required.
Salary for this Intermediate Quantity Surveyor role position is paying between €55,000 - €70,000.
(Negotiable dependent upon experience), bonus scheme, car allowance, plus further additional benefits
