Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Shared Services Manager - Accounts Payable to lead and enhance the accounts payable operations across the organisation. This senior management role is critical for overseeing multiple teams and requires a strategic leader with a proven ability to manage managers effectively. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor the Accounts Payable (AP) and Employee Expense Team Leaders, ensuring clear communication, guidance, training, and performance management. Oversee the complete cycle of Employee Expense and AP processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation. Develop and implement streamlined procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy within the department. Collaborate with procurement and project teams to ensure seamless approval and payment processes. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, promptly addressing any payment-related issues. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for AP and Employee Expense functions, identifying and implementing improvements. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards. Participate in audits, providing necessary documentation and support as required. Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple teams within Accounts Payable. Proven track record in reviewing and improving AP and Employee Expense processes. Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices in accounts payable. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Desirable Skills: Experience with industry-specific software, particularly within the construction sector, is advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
