Aurivo is a large multi-purpose co-operative engaged in a wide range of activities including dairy processing, liquid milk distribution, animal feed milling, retail stores, garden centres, livestock marketing as well as sports nutrition It employs over 600 people directly and provides jobs for many others in transport, distribution and services.
Job Overview
We are seeking to recruit a Milk advisory officer for Aurivo Farm Services. This role will involve working with our milk suppliers in our region to create value for the farmers and Aurivo Co-op.
Reporting to the Farm Enterprise Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with our suppliers, in areas such as Milk Quality, compliance with regulatory requirements.
The role will involve working with all stakeholders to ensure suppliers receive the best information and advice. A key element of the role will be to work collaboratively within a highly skilled and motivated team.
This role is a full-time permanent role and represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate to progress and develop within one of Ireland's leading multi discipline Co-operatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide farm advisory services to our milk suppliers.
Work with other industry stakeholders to provide advisory services to our milk suppliers.
Develop and maintain a trusted partnership-based relationship with Aurivo milk suppliers through providing hands on support with milk quality issues, providing best in class technical advice and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Grow our existing milk pool in Ireland through recruitment of new entrants and help the sustainable expansion of existing suppliers
Regularly communicate with our milk suppliers through farm visits, social media and written communications so that our milk suppliers are kept up to date with developments that will affect their business
Communicate and work with all business units across the Aurivo Group to benefit our farmers
Qualifications and Skills
Professional
A recognised third-level Agricultural qualification is essential.
Post graduate qualification in dairy science or related area would be an added advantage
Good communication skills are essential. Strong IT skills are essential.
Commercially aware with a commitment to exceptional customer service
Ambitious and highly organised.
Previous farm advisory experience is desirable
Full cleaning driving licence as significant travel required the Aurivo region.
Strong knowledge of Agri / livestock matters
