JOB SUMMARY
Coca-Cola Ballina are currentlyseeking to recruit a Software Engineer for its manufacturing plant based in Ballina, Co. Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineerto develop their software development skills and to work in a fast-paced world class manufacturing operation in line with the vision of Commercial Products Supply (CPS) and The Coca-Cola Company.
The objective of this role is to support the bespoke software stack that is deployed to enable manufacturing. In addition to software development and support, the role also involves influencing the end-to-end business work stream to drive out inefficiency, reduce cost, and enhance safety, quality, and environmental performance. This is a key business requirement in a highly automated, complex, lean driven, batch manufacturing environment, supplying a worldwide customer base.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Play a critical part in our development team, responsible for the entire lifecycle of our software products from initial concept to deployment.
2. Gather user requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and architecture design.
3. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery
4. Perform debugging of the software code at the level of application units, applydebugging methods and techniques and correctly interpret faults findings and present bug report.
5. Work with cross functional teams to develop and extend existing applications as well as modernise legacy code base.
6. Work with modern development technology such as DevOps
7. Work with operations, quality, and engineering teams to develop roadmaps for the development of the infrastructure architecture and systems.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
8. Honour’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar required.
SKILLS
9. Experienced in coding languages C#, SQL, JavaScriptand Typescript
10. Demonstrated debugging and problem-solving skills.
11. Proven ability workingwith Design Patterns and Object-Oriented programming
12. Proven ability workingwith frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g. Vue, Angular)
13. Proven ability workingwith backend technologies particularly .NET and .NETCore
14. Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases, data structures and algorithms
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
15. Experience of working with teams in a solution focused environment.
16. Demonstrated experience of back-end and front-end development.
17. Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
18. Experience using git for version control
19. Basic knowledge of manufacturing systems would be an advantage.
