Job Title: HeadWaiter
Department: Food & Beverage
Responsible To: Director of Food & Beverage/Restaurant Management
Main Purposeof Job: To ensure high quality service to the guests byleading and motivating the restaurant staff, in line with company standards andpolicies, including coaching and training the employees, planning, assigningand directing duties, preventing and handling guests issues, and creating anoverall pleasant dining experience.
Liaises with: All departments
MAIN DUTIES
1. Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of each menu item presentedto our members and guests.
2. Assist with interviewing, selecting, training, supervising andmonitoring F&B associates to ensure the efficient operation of thedepartment.
3. Assist in ensuring consistent five-star service through effectivemonitoring of standard operating procedures and ensure adherence to thesestandards by regularly and fairly holding staff accountable for theirperformance.
4. Assist in communicating any pertinent information to the staff throughteam briefings.
5. Ensure adequate staffing levels and schedule and direct staff in theirwork assignments.
6. Assist in ensuring bar and food outlets work closely together to ensurethe best service to our members and guests.
7. Communicate our services and facilities to guests as required.
8. Address any customer concerns in a professional manner and notifymanagement of same.
9. Deliver careful monitoring ensuring that no person under the age of 18is served alcoholic beverages.
10. Ensure that all guests requests are responded to immediately.
11. Ensure that all standards and hotel cash handling procedures are met.
12. Ensure that all orders are entered into the company POS system.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
13. A thorough knowledge and understandingof Food & beverage service.
14. Knowledge & experience offive-star hospitality an advantage, and works to a high quality standard.
15. Resourceful andself-motivating.
16. Good organisational andproblem-solving skills.
17. Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
18. A positive, professional, cando attitude.
19. Focused on providing exceptional customer service.
20. Ability to work flexiblehours.
21. Ability to remain calm whilstunder pressure.
22. Must be over 18 years of agedue to service of alcohol.
23. Fluent in English.
