Senior Reinsurance Broker wanted for International Reinsurance Group-Dublin City
Abrivia Recruitment has been exclusively retained to recruit for a Senior Reinsurance Broker role for a leading Global Reinsurance Broker based in Dublin City. This is a pivotal role within the business, focused on managing existing client relationships and driving new business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Reinsurance, either from a Reinsurance Broker or a Reinsurance company. This role also suits candidates with a business development-heavy background in insurance or broking, provided they have international exposure and, ideally, experience working within the London market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities on a global scale.
Your Role:
1. Manage and develop relationships with key Reinsurance clients, ensuring their needs are met and offering bespoke solutions.
2. Lead business development initiatives, identifying and securing new business opportunities, both locally and internationally.
3. Serve as a key point of contact for existing clients, maintaining high levels of service and engagement.
4. Collaborate with internal teams, including actuarial, underwriting, and claims, to deliver comprehensive and tailored reinsurance solutions.
5. Travel domestically and internationally as required to meet clients and represent the business at industry events.
6. Prepare and deliver presentations, negotiate terms, and oversee the placement of reinsurance contracts.
7. Stay informed of market trends, emerging risks, and industry developments, particularly in the Reinsurance and London markets.
8. Play a strategic role in shaping the business’s growth, contributing to planning and execution of key initiatives.
Your Skills:
9. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in Reinsurance, either from a Reinsurance broker or a Reinsurance company.
10. Alternatively, candidates with strong business development experience in Insurance or Broking with an international focus, particularly exposure to the London market, will also be considered.
11. Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships in an international context.
12. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly and effectively.
13. Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with a focus on identifying and capitalising on business development opportunities.
14. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
15. A proactive, client-focused approach with a drive for results and excellence.
