Our client operating within the pharmaceutical sector are looking to recruit an experienced Accounting Technician 4 days a week or 30 hours over 5 days based in North Dublin with Hybrid working offer. Reports to Financial Controller Definition and Job Purpose Assist the Financial Controller with the oversight of all financial aspects of company strategy and flow of financial information to the CEO/Board. Accounts Receivables are a key part of the role - strong billing experience and credit control. Duties & Responsibilities: To ensure that all financial transactions related to the companys accounts receivable are managed/controlled, such as maintaining customer accounts, generating invoices, posting receipts, and credit control. Working closely with the project manager to ensure that project budgets/purchase orders are utilised. Dealing with disputed invoices in a timely manner. Monitoring time tracking software and consult with external contractors to ensure that their time is accurately recorded and within budget. Ensuring that financial transactions relating to accounts payable are accurately recorded in line with Financial Policies and Procedures. Responsible for preparing the monthly/annual accounts to trial balance and preparing balance sheet reconciliation. Assisting with streamlining of existing financial processes and procedures to achieve operational efficiency. Preparation of VAT Returns / RTD Forms / 46G Forms /VIES Returns Assisting with project profitability. Assisting with budget preparation in line with company strategy. Person Specification: Qualifications / Experience Part Qualified ACCA/ACA or minimum IATI qualified / degree in finance and accounting. Proven financial/accounting experience in industry (minimum 7 years experience) Strong computer and analytical skills and proficiency in using Microsoft and Sage accounting. Payroll experience desirable. Skills Communication effective communicator in both verbal and written communications. Capability to communicate issues and propose appropriate solutions to decision makers. Structured, analytical, systematic, and independent way of working. Ability to prioritise parallel tasks, identify potential roadblocks and initiate appropriate counter measures. Ability to manage internal and external (client) relationships on operational /day to day working level. Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. Process orientated.
