1. Lead the proactive development of integrated solutions which support the overall sustainable growth and profit development of Kerry business within the bakery market for the Europe & Russia region.
2. To be seen as the Kerry “go–to” expert on customer needs in relation to finished products and processes and provide expertise in the application of Kerry technologies into customer products.
3. Work closely with the commercial team and support priority business initiatives to help deliver growth in key bakery accounts by translating Kerry technology capability into sales.

4. Contribute to business success by leading new products development in line with technical demand of customers, market trends, sales, food law regulations and business strategy.
5. Responsible for linking consumer and customer insights into application solution.
6. Collaborate with multiple technical and commercial stakeholder Working in a fast-paced environment, responsible for the application and demonstration of ingredient products sold to into the bakery and related industries
7. Execute the agreed value proposition with growth and potential growth customers including training own bakery market, commercial and product technology teams as necessary.
8. Maintain a thorough understanding of existing industrial processes, technologies and application requirements within the industry and of any developments in the above stated areas.
9. Establish a relationship with our customers, working through our bakery and related sales and marketing teams while being seen as a subject matter expert in the field.
Qualifications and skills
Minimum Criteria:
10. Strong technical knowledge across a variety of bakery processes, formulations, technologies (enzymes, emulsifiers, texture systems, natural and chemical preservative, etc.) and ingredients
11. Industrial experience of 10+ years with a minimum BSc/MSc in Food Science/ Cereal Processing/ related scientific field. Experience in data collation, analyses and reporting (verbal and written for technical and non-technical audiences) using a scientific approach
12. Strong background in food/ cereal chemistry, sensory, spoilage, food packaging with bakery operational experience or processing knowledge preferable
13. Comprehensive knowledge/understanding of key ingredient (flour, flour, shortening, eggs, sugar, etc.) and functional ingredients, their interactions/synergies and their impact on bakery applications.
14. Team player, willing to support and work with technology focused scientists and the bakery team both in Kerry and with our sales staff and their customers
15. Good communicator, both verbal and written with attention to detail
Desirable Criteria:
16. Demonstrated ability to use basic bakery-related analytical equipment, this includes; thermal profiling, pH meter, viscosity (various methods), specific gravity, product dimension measurement, texture analyzer, dough rheology (by feel is fine), etc.
17. Experience in the formulation of a multi-technology solutions to deliver customer desired attributes. Troubleshoot technical challenges with cross-functional technology leads
18. Profound business and commercial understanding
19. Ability to perform consistently in a fast paced environment by trouble shooting and problem solving
20. Experienced in the upscaling of laboratory experiments to assist in industrial production in customer’s premises
21. Capacity to be flexible and multi-task, ability to work to challenging timelines
22. Desire and willingness to learn more about new bakery technologies and processing equipment
