We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant Manager to support our warehouse operations, oversee staff, and drive efficiency in our inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Support:
* Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure smooth workflows.
* Monitor and ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of inventory.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimise warehouse processes.
1. Team Leadership:
* Supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
* Foster a positive work environment by encouraging teamwork and accountability.
1. Inventory Management:
* Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and regular audits.
* Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure stock levels meet demand.
1. Compliance and Safety:
* Enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
* Ensure the warehouse operates under optimal health and safety conditions.
1. Reporting:
* Generate and analyse reports on warehouse productivity, inventory levels, and staff performance.
* Provide recommendations for improvements to the Warehouse Manager.
1. Technology & Equipment:
* Assist in managing warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools.
* Oversee the maintenance and proper use of warehouse equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
* Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
* Experience in the retail or footwear industry is a plus.
* Skills:
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

Previous experience with stock management systems essential
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
* Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (e.g., temperature changes).
