An indigenous Irish company is seeking an ambitious new hire to join the Sales/Business development team for the West of Ireland. This role will suit an applicant who is happy to travel to multiple sites for the organisation and is looking for the next step in their sales career.This role will have full responsibility for management and development of the Van Sales and Authorised distributors and associated depots for the area to ensure consistent delivery and execution of best-in-class customer experience. The primary focus of the Area Sales Manager (ASM) is to manage and increase the sales of the company in their respective area of Galway. Your New Role:
1. Achieve agreed yearly & quarterly targets by managing existing business, generating new business and providing effective after sales service.
2. Returns – Manage the depots returns & to keep them within agreed % targets, as specified by the Regional Sales Manager.
3. Reconciliations – to ensure all stock from delivery to sales are reconciled and are properly accounted for at all times.
4. Ensuring the management & maintenance of all company fleet vehicles. To ensure the company accident report procedure is adhered to at all times by the ASM and the driver involved.
5. Accurate reporting of operational matters as required by regional manager and Company Management so as to ensure that accurate information is available to the company at all times. It is a requirement that the job holder keeps management informed at all times of all matters that affect the interests of the company.
Your Experience:
6. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales or business development and are looking for their next step career wise.
7. This role covers multiple areas of the business such as depot management and sales/business development. The role will suit an individual who excels within a busy work schedule and has great time management.
8. Commercial awareness of the food industry is a benefit but not necessarily needed the client is open to various industry backgrounds.
9. Full clean Irish/European driving licence
10. Ability to participate and contribute to sales strategy discussions and be a team player.
