Fantastic new opportunity now available for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join a market leader in the FMCG sector. This is a permanent role based in their Dublin site with hybrid working options.
This Senior Procurement Specialist will work with a dynamic team to implement procurement strategy, build relationships with key suppliers and offers the opportunity to make this role your own. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Manage all phases of strategic sourcing and manage the RFP process, benchmarking, negotiations, contract / pricing review and sales, margin and stockholding
2. Building strong collaborative relationships with both existing & potential supply base along with key departments across the company
3. Identify new suppliers as required and assist in timely and efficient onboarding of approved new vendors
4. Build and maintain category knowledge, apply best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection, total cost of ownership and negotiation tactics
5. Support the procurement team with several key activities including - financial forecasting, budget management, category strategy creation, buy plans etc..
6. Plan and develop range plans for both core and seasonal buys
7. Strategic planning both at product and category level
8. Develop and deliver key reporting metrics for the business
Key requirements
9. 3+ years in buying or category management with demonstrably strong negotiation skills essential
10. Experienced user of Excel and SAP
11. Experience within FMCG or a retail environment beneficial
