Roles & Responsibilities Assess market and competitor trends in your product area and develop a range to capitalize on/counteract trends. Work with category planning team to conduct range reviews, decide on optimum ranges for the business and planograms for C&C`s. Review competitor price positioning. Assess current pricing and margin performance. Maximize retailer margins and competitive position within the market Plan events and promotions as per event calendar and brief, communicate to suppliers and review proposals to ensure they meet stated criteria. Brief suppliers on promotional requirements, review proposals and negotiate improvements to offers. Review the promotional P&L on PAT. Conduct post promotional analysis. Plan and co-ordinate range of seasonal products to maximize sales and margin opportunity. Ensure range and price relevant to consumer demands including NPD. Ensure that the product and price file is continuously and accurately maintained. Ensure Right First Time with all admin including promotional offers and flyers. Work with the supply chain team and the supplier base to ensure availability products to customers. Ensure that cash and carry inbound service levels are on target Develop JBP plans for key suppliers within your D-groups. Involvement in and conclusion of annual terms negotiations with key suppliers (AP&A, BFL and LTA). Able to plan to a sufficiently high level prior to any supplier meeting and to follow up on opportunities discussed. Able to cope well in all supplier situations, able to manage difficult conversations and situations with the supplier base in a mature way to the benefit of Musgrave Wholesale Partners. Support the business units by making regular site visits. Support the brands through development of working relationship with the sales teams and the key customers. Concerned about the customer and able to understand what effect actions taken by you will ultimately have on them. Essential Education & Experience Strong commercial acumen and interpersonal skills including strong influencing / negotiation skills Proven track record and Min. 2 years experience within the FMCG Retail or Foodservice Trade working within a Trading / Buying environment. Educated to degree level. Ability to prioritise workload and differentiate between urgent and important tasks and stay calm under pressure.
