Experienced Technical Manager required for multi- national company fresh produce based in North County Dublin. The successful candidate shall have a proven track record in dealing with retailers and be experienced in their compliance requirements and in addition have a good understanding of the requirements of industry standards. i.e., BRC, Bord Bia. The candidate preferably has worked in a fresh food industry, ideally in fresh produce.
Key Elements of the Role:
* The management of all aspects of the technical function in accordance with customer, legal and business requirements.
* To develop clear communication and maintain good relationships with our customers and the site team.
* To manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and on-going development of the sites HACCP, and TACCP/VACCP systems.
* To manage the Supplier Approval process, to include customers own systems for supplier management.
* To maintain customers on-line portals, i.e., Food Experts, Zoom, etc.
* To support the compliance function during all customer and 3rd audit audits.
* To support the business in the development and implementation of its Food Safety Culture plan.
* Work directly with the Quality Team to ensure inspections are completed within business and customers’ expectations. Communicate and agree with the customer when concessions are needed due to seasonal challenges.
* Development and maintenance of raw material and finished product specifications as required by the customer and the business.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 5 Years experience in a fresh food industry technical or senior quality manager role.
* Experience fresh produce would be an advantage.
* Educated to degree / diploma level in a food science discipline.
* Excellent attention to detail & communication skills.
* Good computer skills with an understanding of excel, word Etc.
* Has the ability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to travel aboard.
