An exciting opportunity for a Commercial Accountant or Part Qualified/Finalist Accountant to join the finance team of one of Ireland's leading retail companies on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be responsible for managing end to end accounting procedures including preparing management accounts, payroll, reconciliations and inventory analysis. You will also be responsible for compiling commercial reports for management and relevant departments along with managing tax ,statutory returns, supporting budgeting and forecasting. Permanent role Based in Meath Hybrid model (after probation period) Salary: Up to €55,000 depending on experience/qualification Benefits include Pension, Healthcare and Discount on products Parking on site Responsibilities Conduct weekly reconciliations of bank accounts. Manage the accounts receivable process, including issuing invoices, resolving queries, overseeing collections, and escalating issues as needed. Compile and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for management and relevant departments and generate ad hoc reports. Accurately prepare and execute payroll. Create accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, management reports, and conduct financial analyses as needed. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register. Track and analyse sales performance and inventory management. Assist in the development of monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts. Oversee the accounts payable ledger, preparing payment runs for senior management review and approval. Ensure timely preparation and submission of all statutory returns required by Revenue, the Central Statistics Office (CSO), etc. Prepare VAT returns, with knowledge of postponed accounting as an asset. Carry out other assigned tasks as needed. Key Skills/Qualifications Fully qualified or Part Qualified Accountant/Finalist (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) (Would also consider a qualified Accounts Technician who is interested in pursuing further qualifications) Ability to work to strict deadlines Strong computer and systems skills (SAGE is an advantage) Experience working in a Retail/FMCG company is desirable Excellent communication skills and relationship management skills Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.
