Our Purpose
This position serves as a key member of the Global Operations and Supply Chain (GOSC) FP&A team, as the lead for GOSC consolidations. The role is a critical liaison with GOSC functional finance leadership, corporate consolidations and our global manufacturing FP&A teams. The role will be point for ensuring GOSC FP&A processes, timelines, reporting and analysis deliver on our business objectives. The role has one direct report and is positioned to indirectly lead functional finance and global manufacturing FP&A through effective influencing.
This role is critical to deliver on the financial commitments, and continuously drive improvements, standardization, and efficiencies within our FP&A consolidations and analysis processes. The successful candidate will partner with GOSC finance and cross-functional leadership to report, analyse, forecast and articulate our GOSC financial performance.

A Day in The Life Of:
Strategic Financial Leadership
1. Maintain deep understanding of total GOSC performance, interdependencies of key financial metrics, and how operational performance is translated to financial results.
2. Collaborate with functional finance, Global Manufacturing FP&A, and corporate reporting to develop processes, analyses and presentation content that animate and influence our financial performance.
Functional Excellence and Business Partnering
3. Lead preparation and presentation of GOSC analysis, KPIs, financial performance commentary, and forecasting to various levels of management.
4. Proactive business partnering with stakeholders in the analysis of trends and anomalies in results.
5. Partner cross functionally in preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasts, to ensure cost down targets, strategic initiatives and financial metric interdependencies are clearly understood and consistently applied.
Team Management
6. Lead and coach a Financial Analyst, focusing on high quality and impactful deliverables, while enhancing operational excellence and critical mass to the organization.
7. Set strategic direction and appropriately balance work personally and with your Financial Analyst to capitalize on individual strengths, provide development opportunities while ensuring a balanced workload.
8. Demonstrate and promote Medtronic Mindset culture in words and actions (Act Boldly, Compete to Win, Move with Speed and Decisiveness, Foster Belonging, Deliver Results the Right Way).
Key Skills & Experience
9. 7+ years relevant experience and relevant level 8 degree
10. Has strong ability to partner with senior leadership and partner through others, facilitates decision-making activities, builds relationship networks at all levels, and leads change.
11. Leadership and high ethical, performance standards
12. Understands and implements strategy, shift from tactical to strategic
13. Experience leading team and accomplishing work through others, recruit, retains and develop talent.
14. Strong financial analysis and accounting skills
15. Is a team player in a matrix structure with excellent communication/ presentation skills.

Nice to Haves
17. Working Experience supporting Manufacturing and familiarity with cost accounting principals
18. Experience with business intelligence and reporting systems would be an advantage.
19. Global Experience, working in large, complex, matrix organisations.
20. Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence multiple diverse stakeholders.
21. Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating actionable insights and analysis.
