Your Responsibilities:
1. Design BMS/building controls systems to optimize building performance and streamline building management.
2. Work closely with disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical, ICT, Smart Buildings, Digital, etc.
3. Ensure seamless integration of building control systems into overall building design.
4. Conduct design studies and produce conceptual design reports.
5. Prepare contract documentation, specifications, and drawings.
6. Ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
7. Collaborate with the broader design team: architects, engineers of all disciplines, quantity surveyors, etc.
8. Ensure a cohesive design approach.
9. Ensure all designs and documents meet the highest standards of excellence.
10. Undertake surveys and site inspections.
11. Inform the design process and ensure adherence to plans.
12. Witness controls systems commissioning on projects to ensure proper execution and alignment with design.
Your Education/Profile:
13. A bachelor's degree in Controls, Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Services Engineering.
14. Actively working towards or interested in achieving Chartered Engineer status.
15. Demonstrated experience in designing building control systems (often referred to as BMS, BAS, or HVAC Controls)
16. Familiarity with the latest standards and regulations relevant to building control systems.
17. Proficiency in software tools commonly used in the building controls sector.
