Currently recruiting an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to oversee and enhance our Quality Management System (QMS) and Factory Production Control System, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and other sector requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management System (QMS) Maintenance:
o Develop, communicate, and maintain a comprehensive QMS plan aligned with ISO standards, conducting regular audits.
o Report on QMS performance, coordinating with external assessment bodies and senior management for continuous system improvement.
2. Factory Production Control:
o Ensure compliance with EN 206:2013 for batching and CE marking standards for precast products.
o Maintain standards for all aggregates used in production per EN 12620.
3. Product Quality Excellence:
o Collaborate with suppliers to meet quality standards; evaluate and re-evaluate supplier performance.
o Partner with production teams to maintain quality benchmarks and report audit and sampling results.
4. Training and Development:
o Oversee QMS training for new and existing staff, aligning training with company requirements and identifying retraining needs.
5. Reporting and Quality Improvement:
o Generate and communicate required quality reports, tracking non-conformance issues, and leading corrective and preventative actions.
o Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, focusing on quality trends and cost reductions.
6. Customer Service and Quality Assurance:
o Address customer queries professionally, ensuring quick resolutions and implementing corrective actions.
o Perform customer satisfaction assessments, identifying and implementing necessary improvements.
7. Compliance and Risk Management:
o Keep updated on legislative changes, apply necessary updates, and develop risk assessments and SOPs for safety and compliance.
Qualifications:
* Recognised Quality related qualification (3rd level or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years in a quality management role, preferably within civil engineering, construction, rail, or infrastructure.
* Proven experience leading a team in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
* Solid knowledge of ISO EN 19001 standards and application of risk assessments and SOPs.
