Head of Risk & Compliance wanted for Financial Services Group-Dublin WestAbrivia are currently recruiting for a Head of Risk and Compliance (PCF 12 and PCF 14) to join our client, the Financial Services arm of a Global Organisation based in Dublin West. With a solid compliance and risk framework already in place, this organisation is transitioning these critical functions from an outsourced model to an in-house structure. This unique opportunity allows an experienced professional to lead and elevate the organisation’s risk and compliance practices while aligning with both local and global standards.As Head of Risk and Compliance, you will join the executive team, working closely with the Board and senior leaders to drive risk management and compliance within an established structure. This role requires four days onsite each week, offering you a central position in decision-making and collaboration to strengthen proactive risk and compliance practices.Your Role:Oversee and manage the organisation’s risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring they align with evolving regulatory standards.Implement a structured compliance programme, including risk assessments, monitoring, and regular reporting to the Board.Provide timely and accurate risk reports, equipping the Board with insights for informed decision-making.Maintain and update internal systems and controls to support ongoing risk and compliance strategies.Cultivate a culture of transparency and accountability, embedding risk and compliance as core organisational values.Serve as the main liaison with regulatory bodies, handling all compliance inquiries and ensuring the organisation meets industry standards.Actively monitor and report on significant risk exposures and adherence to the company’s defined risk appetite.Manage and oversee audits and regulatory reviews, implementing recommendations to maintain compliance integrity.Your Skills:Proven experience in risk management or compliance, with 5-8 years in a similar role, including team management.Recognised qualifications in compliance or risk management (e.g., ACOI certification or a comparable qualification).Deep knowledge of Irish and European regulatory requirements within financial services.Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to communicate regulatory needs effectively to all levels of the organisation.Exceptional leadership skills to foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness across teams.Experience preparing and presenting risk-related reports to senior leadership and the Board.Prior exposure to a PCF 12 or PCF 14 role is advantageous, though not essential, provided you meet the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity standards.This is a Pre-Approved Control Function role, with selection conditional on completing due diligence to satisfy the Central Bank of Ireland’s requirements for PCF 12 (Head of Compliance) and PCF 14 (Head of Risk).For a confidential conversation regarding this opportunity, please reach out to Tadhg at Abrivia.Job InformationJob Reference: TXK13506_1730477177Salary From: £115000Salary To: £125000Job Industries: Banking & Financial ServicesJob Locations: Dublin West, DublinJob Types: PermanentJob Skills: compliance, head of compliance, risk, head of risk
