Responsibilities
include reviewing daily FCM margin calls, performing position reconciliations,municating on breaks with counterparties to drive resolution, as well as maintaining open dialogue with internal Operations teams (ex: Product Support, Confirmations, CODI).
What you can expect
1. Daily monitoring of FCM margin calls, margin balances, and instructing daily variation margin movements
2. Verify, place/respond, and instruct upon daily collateral margin calls, including substitutions. Research and resolution of disputed items.
3. Reconciliation of collateral trade and position details against broker records
4. Assuming ownership for any operational issues that are raised and providing resolution in a manner that is seamless regardless of which operational issues are impacted.
5. Anticipating issues that may adversely affect the operational support of collateral processing and taking action to reduce the risk of such occurrences.
6. Proactively seeking ways to improve current processes by leveraging the tools available.
7. Cultivating both internal and external relationships to ensure proper service levels are achieved and maintained for each fund supported.
8. Keeping abreast of industry initiatives and market trends that can impact our business model and/or offer opportunities to improve our processes.
9. Develop an understanding of the fixed ie trading business and share knowledge with operations teams to increase service levels.
What you will bring
10. Degree in Economics, Finance or Business preferred.
11. Proven ability to develop and cultivate relationships across all staff levels.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
13. Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
14. PC skills with strong knowledge of Excel and Outlook
15. Able to multi-task and absorb information across a broad spectrum of products.
16. Able to organize and prioritize tasks, working in a deadline-oriented environment.
What will set you apart?
17. Knowledge of derivatives and/or other fixed ie products and investment strategies preferred.
18. Previous Operations experience preferred.
