Responsibilities
:
1. Responsible for the overall financial performance of the shop through realistic and challenging targets.
2. Responsible for development, implementation and monitoring of agreed business plan and Constant management of change initiatives.
3. Communication and implementation of the company’s strategic goals and objectives through interdependence and teamwork with support teams.
4. To lead from the front and ensure business operations in all departments are kept at the highest standard at all times.
5. Be able to deal with site visits from internal and external sources.
6. Manage employee rostering and annual leave and maintain accurate and secure records.
7. Manage, motivate and develop the teams to contribute to the overall success of the business.
8. Approachable and a role model who leads by example and encourages teamwork, foster a positive attitude and atmosphere in the workplace.
9. To be accountable for ordering, stocking and pricing inventories.
10. To ensure all the HACCP / Health & Safety procedures are followed as appropriate.
11. Generating daily, weekly and monthly reports and managing P&L to reduce costs and increase profitability.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
12. Passion for good food & retail
13. Minimum of 3 years previous food retail manager experience is a must
14. Must have a full knowledge of grocery retail business and its aspects i.e. HACCP / Food Safety.
15. Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles
16. Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success
17. Exceptional organizational, leadership and motivational skills.
18. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
19. Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation
20. Excellent problem-solving abilities
21. Enthusiastic and hands-on attitude.
