Project Engineer Project Engineer Company: Dawn Meats Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Head Office, Grannagh, Co. Waterford Contract Type: Permanent Role Summary: Work as part of the wider Engineering team in order to ensure that relevant projects are completed in line with the Engineering Teams strategy and goals. T he successful candidate will work as part of the Engineering team and will be responsible for:
1. Management of the design, implementation and handover of multi-disciplinary engineering projects; focusing on a broad range of Group Projects from Building Services, Production facility Upgrades, Project management of small and large-scale projects.
2. Manage and coordinate element on multiple projects on various production sites for the duration of projects;
3. Implement and adhere to company project management procedures and SOPs to deliver projects;
4. Design and tender of engineering projects, including generating user requirement specifications, tender specifications and tender drawings;
5. Verification, commissioning and handover of engineering systems to end users;
6. Develop project budgets and manage for the life cycle of the project;
7. Work as part of a wider project team and assist in the delivery of key projects;
8. Facilitate and participate in the department¿s continuous improvement program;
9. Design engineering systems and upgrades and implement same;
10. Provide technical support to production sites.
The ideal candidate will have:
11. A 3rd Level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or similar.
12. A minimum of 5 years work experience in a Project Engineering role within Engineering Project Management functions with experience working on medium and large-scale capital projects.
13. Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project;
14. Excellent AutoCAD skills;
15. Certified qualification in Project Management preferable;
16. Proven experience in delivering projects from conception to completion;
17. Proven budget management experience;
18. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and legislation;
19. Proven experience of strong organisational skills;
20. Flexibility and be willing to travel to production sites throughout Ireland, the UK as required.
