The Role:
1. Role requires experience in installation of Stainless Steel, Ductile Iron and PVC pipework of all range of sizes
2. Particular role requires experience in the installation, repair & maintenance of Chemical Systems including equipment such as bulk storage tanks, kiosks, chemical dosing pumps, chemical dosing pipelines, double contained pipework and the fitting/installation of all associated instrumentation
3. Chemical System Installations will include the following chemicals, Aluminium Sulphate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, Polymers, Sulphuric Acid and any other chemicals associated with the water and wastewater treatment processes
4. The role is a mixed variety of maintenance works and installations
Key Responsibilities:
5. Work as part of a Mechanical Team for the delivery of new installations and for maintenance and repairs of equipment
6. Prepare all siteworks including the completion of all Permits to Work, Safe Plan of Action’s and creating a safe work area
7. Fitting of equipment to a professional standard. Installations must look neat and tidy and be carried out in such a manner that the end user can safely access and operate the equipment
8. Comply with Company’s and our Client’s stringent safety standards
9. Liaise with our Client’s during installation to ensure safety and quality compliance
Requirements:
10. Successful candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
11. Preferably have experience in water/wastewater treatment plant installations
12. Experience in the installation of equipment such as pumps, valves, blowers, augers, penstocks, platforms & access equipment, etc is required
13. Experience in commissioning equipment such as centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, dosing pumps, PC pumps, actuators, conveyors, motors and gearboxes is required
14. Must be familiar with typical instrumentation used in the water sector such as level, flow, pressure, pH, chlorine, turbidity etc.
15. Strong technical capability with attention to detail in reading drawings, templates, schematics P&ID’s and other drawings
16. Willingness to travel (within Ireland) where necessary
17. A full clean driver’s licence is required

Job type : Long-term contract
Work Schedule: Standard Monday to Friday working week
