Role Purpose
Cornmarket’s Financial Planning Advisor Team Leader is responsible for the efficient running of and day to day operations of the FPA team. The FPA team are a telephony-based team that provide support to our clients and book them in for financial planning appointments with our team of consultants.
Coaching, and training team members is an important aspect of this role. The FPA Team Leader will ensure that all team tasks are achieved within SLA and to an excellent standard. Therefore, supporting and monitoring team members performance towards meeting team and individual objectives is an important aspect of this role.
Accountabilities of the Role
* Monitor and prioritise work within the financial planning advisor team, ensuring quality appointments are booked in each week and that all administration tasks are completed within the applicable SLA and compliantly.
* Conduct weekly individual and team meetings, to coach, support, and guide team members towards meeting agreed objectives.
* Work with the Financial Planning Support Manager to carry out performance management reviews & objective setting for team members.
* Manage all types of leave (Annual, sick etc.) for the team.
* Develop and enhance relationships across the business to ensure effective delivery for the financial planning advisor team.
* Supervise and manage all financial planning advisor team lead sources effectively. Undertake quality control checks on lead management within the team and deliver on campaign hit rate targets.
* Deal with any complaints or compliance issues that arise within the team
* Comply with the requirements of the Minimum Competency Code and ensure all new regulations within the Code are being adhered to
* Work closely with area and market managers to ensure FPS deliver on key objectives (diary management, reporting etc).
* Identify opportunities to make process & system improvements and ensure the follow through of these ideas to management.
* Represent the team and advocate for team needs
* Ensure the smooth operation of the Company's business in the Financial Planning Advisor team and the promotion of the Company's reputation and good standing as a provider of financial services for public sector employees and other clients.
* Encourage and facilitate open communication within the team, ensuring everyone is working towards individual & team goals.
* Comply with quality control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role.
* Maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role in relation to changes in life and pension products and industry specific changes related to both life products, retirement products and Mortgages.
Skills & Knowledge Required
* A minimum of two years’ experience in a financial services organisation
* Sales Experience (Desirable)
* Ability to prioritise workload
* A keen eye for detail and quality
* Ability to lead and motivate a team
* Exceptional interpersonal skills required
* Strong customer focus and an ability to deal with the unexpected
* The ability to present written / verbal information in a professional, clear & concise manner

Controlled Function
This role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity.
