Overall Purpose of the Job
Training Coordinator responsibilities will include communicating with Managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for managing, organising and coordinating all training programs.
Our ideal candidate has experience with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs and e-learning. Ultimately, the role of the Training Coordinator is to oversee all professional development at our company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Map out annual training plans for each segment of the business.
2. Perform needs assessment on the entire organisation level and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
3. Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house).
4. Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design.
5. Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes).
6. Market available training to provide necessary information about sessions to Managers to upskill their teams.
7. Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
8. Research and recommend new training methods and courses.
Qualifications and Experience
9. 3+ year’s experience is essential.
10. BS degree in Education, Training, HR or related field.
11. Ability to work with a team and have attention to detail.
12. Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role.
13. Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting.
14. Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.
15. Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
