As Resident Engineer (Water) you will provide supervision and management on a programme of work to deliver new and upgrade water network improvements in the South Dublin area. Due to ongoing contract awards, this Global Engineering Consultancy firm have a requirement for a Resident Engineer to work on Clean Water projects. You should be able to demonstrate previous experience in either the design or construction of watermain upgrades and rehabilitation techniques, leakage repair etc.
As Resident Engineer you will be responsible for site supervision of water projects and to be considered for the role you will have the following experience:
1. At least 7-10 years’ satisfactory postgraduate experience in on-site supervision, contract administration, and project management of civil engineering works, to include clean water projects.
2. A Degree in a related discipline such as Civil Engineering.
3. Capable of writing clear and concise reports and keeping works records.
4. Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
5. Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts, experience in FIDIC and Public Works forms of contract would be advantageous but not essential.
6. A current and valid SafePass card is essential. Confined Spaces training would be desirable.
You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to act within a team at all times. With the nature of the role there may be travel involved, so you should be flexible in terms of travel.
