We are seeking a hard-working ambitious qualified accountant to join the team. The Role The position entails all responsibilities normally associated with the operations of an accounting firms compliance division. The role also offers a long-term career and opportunity to continue to build on your existing skills, enabling you to operate at a senior level and add greater value, by supporting our management team to deliver all compliance related matters including financial statements, taxation and company secretarial returns and ancillary advices to our clients. This requires an ability to work closely with the management team and clients, to collate and deliver regular and accurate financial statements (audit and audit exempt), accounts, taxation returns, company secretarial returns and business advices. Reporting To The position reports directly to the senior management team. Responsibilities Responsibility for accuracy and reliability in preparing financial accounts and professional services to our clients on an annual and ad-hoc basis. Ensuring accurate recording and billing of assignments within budget and to standard. Take ownership of reconciliations and accounts file preparation for the firm. Support our clients and their finance functions with general business, financial and accounting advices. Experience and Qualification Requirements Qualified financial accountant 2+ years post qualification experience in a professional services firm Proven accounting, audit and taxation experience Be resilient and flexible, with the ability to cope with change in a fast-paced environment Ability to work well as part of a team and be able to build effective relationships with clients and across the business Personal drive for self-development & training and growth Key day-to-day skills required Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organisational skills Results-oriented and deadline driven Flexible with a positive attitude to change Responsibility for action actively takes responsibility for own and delegated actions Demonstrates an attention to detail mentality Communication skills listens responsively and can give information effectively, is open and receptive to others Strong team player with ability to interact with colleagues and clients at all levels A strong work ethic Excellent knowledge and use of MS Office suite, with an ability to navigate and use accounting software packages Additional information The job requires the ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and prioritising objectives in a constantly changing environment.
