Your new company is one of the outstanding Irish business success stories of the last decade. Founded a little over 15 years ago, they have taken the medical devices and pharma industry by storm, expanding into Europe and the United States and looking to increase their foothold in these markets. The company is founded on the principles of entrepreneurship, endeavour and innovation and this has recently led to the development of some groundbreaking products in the medical device sector. They are now seeking a Senior Accountant (with guaranteed progression to FC) to lead the finance function of a new start-up entity established around one of their new products.
Your new role
You will join as Senior Accountant with responsibility for the full finance function of a newly established entity within the Group's umbrella. The entity was formed to handle the manufacture and commercialisation of a new revolutionary product which is forecasted to be extremely in-demand worldwide once it has gained relevant approvals in 2025. The role will initially be a stanolone role and you will be responsible for everything from AP/AR, bank recs, payroll, month end process to more complex matters such as R&D tax credits, cashflows, budgeting, financial analysis and strategic planning around commercial development. As the company grows commercially, you will be tasked at building out finance function and will be given the responsibility of managing the team.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with preferably 3+ years experience in industry with pharma/medical device background advantageous but not essential. The company are open to candidates of all backgrounds and levels of experience as long as they show an ability to be autonomous from the start with all financial accounting matters, is able to contribute across the board on process and systems improvements, is commercially focused and has an ability to integrate into the Group's finance team with an ambition to become a Financial Controller/lead a growing team within 2 years.
What you'll get in return
You will get a very competitive market starting salary of €65,000-€75,000 base depending on experience.
