Our client, Irelands largest privately operated EV charging network is looking to hire a Project Engineer to join their team in various locations around Ireland. (Dublin, Kilkenny, and Leitrim)

Overview:
1. Supporting projects from inception to completion
2. Collaborating with the sales team to provide technical guidance to clients
3. Conducting cost estimations for EV charging infrastructure projects
4. Building supply chain partners in the Republic of Ireland (ROI)
5. Conduct site assessments, collaborate on proposal development, maintain documentation, engage with customers, and work closely with internal teams to ensure technically sound solutions
6. Survey, cost and manage installations along with the necessary supply chain partners to deliver high quality EV charging across ROI
Key Skills Required:
Technical Expertise:
7. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our EV charging solutions and associated technologies
8. Electrical knowledge of distribution systems, cabling, routing, protective devices, and installation methods
9. Understanding of civil engineering is advantageous
Cost Estimation:
10. Conduct comprehensive cost estimations for EV charging infrastructure projects, including equipment, and ongoing operational costs
11. Analyse project requirements and provide accurate cost breakdowns to support the sales team in creating competitive proposals
12. Work with subcontractors to obtain project costs and to mobilise on projects
Site Assessment:
13. Conduct site surveys to assess the feasibility of EV charging installations
14. Identify potential challenges and recommend solutions to ensure successful project deployments
Proposal Development:
15. Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals that incorporate technical details and accurate cost estimations
16. Ensure proposals align with client budgets and objectives
Documentation and Reporting:
17. Maintain detailed documentation of all pre-sale’s activities, including site survey reports and cost analyses
18. Generate reports to track and analyse sales and project progress
Customer Engagement:
19. Engage with potential customers to understand their needs and objectives, addressing their technical questions and concerns
20. Attend client meetings and presentations to provide technical insights
Collaboration:
21. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and project managers, to ensure that project requirements are met, and solutions are technically sound
22. Assist in developing product and solution enhancements based on customer feedback
Mobilisation
23. Control the project from inception to completion, including mobilising contractors for each project
24. Ensure total project oversight during the construction phase, acting as the company’s on site project lead
25. Produce project progress reports
Continuous Improvement
26. Assist with the uptime and maintenance of the EV network
Essential Qualifications / Experience
27. Time served electrician (18th edition) with strong civil engineering knowledge, proven experience in a technical pre-sales or estimator role, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in relevant software.
28. Proven experience in a technical pre-sales or estimator role in a relevant industry.
29. Technical knowledge of charging infrastructure and associated technologies.
30. Strong understanding of civil engineering practices and methods.
31. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost estimations.
32. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
33. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for cost estimation and project management
